Resound Introduce LiNX 3D Made For iPhone Hearing Aid Range
Resound has updated their Made For iPhone range a third time, introducing a brand new platform called the LiNX 3d. Not only have they introduced a whole new platform, but they have also changed how hearing care can be provided forever. Let's take a deeper look the new LiNX 3D products.
LiNX 3d is available in eleven models, in three levels of technology, all of which offer the new Resound Assistance service (more on that later). The technology levels are the LiNX 3D 9, the LiNX 3D 7 and the LiNX 3D5. Each level of technology delivers to different lifestyle needs. Already, some people have given early reviews of the devices and they all seem to be glowing. But what does Resound have to say?
- It is up to 50% better at identifying speech across various environments
- It enables users to hear up to 80% more of the sounds around them, and
- It enables users to understand up to 40% more speech in noise
So those are pretty interesting claims. They claim those percentage increases as against other leading manufacturer's hearing aids. Let's take a look at the underlying technology that is driving them, what's different and how it delivers.
Binaural Directionality III
This feature is Resound's latest binaural directionality strategy and is a further upgrade to the strategy they used in the LiNX2. The feature works by treating a pair of hearing aids as a system; it involves continuous information exchange between the hearing aids. The data exchanged allows the hearing aids to deliver the optimal directionality for the situation you are in. Directionality is in essence the focus of the hearing aids. If the focus isn't right, you won't hear the conversations very well.
This feature combines and preserves natural sound cues so that the brain has the optimal information for localization of sound and spatial awareness. The ability to deliver it is driven by the very same data exchange that ensures Binaural Directionality III works so well.
Binaural Environmental Optimizer II
Again, this feature is based on the communication between two hearing aids. It allows the hearing aids to work together to analyze the listening environment you are in. It then automatically adjusts the features and amplification to deliver the best experience for you. In essence, this feature is the manager of all of the other features. It decides what happens when based on the sound environment.
Noise Tracker II
This is a unique noise reduction system that works on the basis of spectral subtraction. It reduces unwanted noise without affecting the speech signal. Resound has been working on spectral subtraction as a noise reduction strategy for years. Apparently according to user reports the noise reduction in the LiNX 3D is outstanding.
DFS Ultra II With Music Mode
A high precision feedback system that allows the cancelation of audio feedback with extreme accuracy. The Music mode is a slower acting system which allows better handling of music. Unfortunately, sometimes musical notes can sound like audio feedback. If the management system acts on it, it can distort the sound. The slower acting system means that music is handled well.
While the hearing aids are outstanding, Resound Assist is probably the big news that has caught the eye of both providers and users. Resound Assist is a completely new way for people to experience hearing care. It will allow your provider to adjust your hearing aids when you need it, remotely. So if you want adjustments on the go, they can be provided without you having to travel to the clinic.
The system is really easy to use and is quite intuitive and is accessed through the new Resound app. This feature might not be for every user, but It will allow users complete freedom over their experience. Users of the LiNX 3D hearing aids will have a choice of coming to the clinic for follow ups or just requesting assistance remotely.
The App, Resound Smart 3D
The new app is intuitive, easy to use and also allows you personalize your hearing experience in a deeper way. Again, some people just want to put their hearing aids on and go so this might not be for everyone, but for those who want it, it will give them power over their experience.
We are pretty excited about these hearing aids and the ability to offer a customer service process choice. I plan to cover the different levels of technology and what they have to offer, but for now, if you have any questions about hearing aids, hearing loss or hearing care, don't hesitate to call is at 1-440-248-4790 or book an appointment online now.
